Lead Singer/Songwriter: TV POLE SHINE │Founding Artistic Director: INTRAMURAL THEATER
Bennett Kirschner is a theatre artist, writer and musician based out of New Orleans.
As a theatre maker, he directs ensemble-generated works and is the founding Artistic Director of Intramural Theater, a New Orleans based theatre collective that has been producing original, site-specific works since 2015. He received his MFA in Playwriting from the University of New Orleans in 2019.
As a music maker, Bennett uses his voice to write ditties that are occasionally turned into complete songs by people who have musical training. His band, TV Pole Shine, a 12-piece pop-funk outfit, started playing music in New Orleans in 2016 and released their first full-length studio album, To Screw in a Lightbulb, in April 2021.
He also acts in films made by his friend and ex-roommate, Harry Bartle.
